Handel M Edwards II Esq
Handel M Edwards II is an Associate Attorney at KL Injury Attorneys, located in Boca Raton, Florida. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Handel moved to Palm Beach, Florida after graduating law school to join his family that resided in the County since 2006.
Handel is a graduate with honors of The City University of New York (‘12) and Indiana University Maurer School of Law (’16), where he was a member of the Indiana Journal of Law & Social Equality and several clinics.
Handel’s legal experiences include working with the Civil Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department; a prominent insurance defense law firm in Indianapolis, Indiana; and the Civil Litigation Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to joining the Firm, Handel worked for a Special Public Defender of Broward County, where he represented indigent defendants that could not be represented by the assigned public defender. His experience in criminal defense instilled a deep conviction to seeking justice for those less fortunate.
At KL Injury Attorneys, Handel devotes 100% of his practice to representing individuals and families who have been injured or died as a result of the negligence of others. The experience Handel gained while working on both sides of the insurance industry has enabled him to understand how insurance companies defend claims, and how to approach and solve issues that arise in litigation. He has taken and defended countless depositions, argued motions across the State of Florida, and settled countless cases against the largest insurance companies in Florida. Handel’s hard work and dedication to help the victims of personal injuries has gained him a reputation as an extremely professional, aggressive, and effective attorney. Handel is a member of the Florida Bar, Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, Palm Beach County Justice Association and Florida Justice Association.
In his spare time, Handel is a devoted father and husband. He enjoys bowling, cooking, and exploring all South Florida has to offer.
